OPENING TIMES:

We are pleased to announce that the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary will re-open it's gates for the season on Good Friday, 2nd April 2010.

YES!!! Great news at last everyone! After much hard work from island singer Kelly Burke and everyone down at the Donkey Sanctuary, iTunes has finally agreed to release our first ever record "The Donkey Conga" as a single. Please download your copy as all proceeds go 100% to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary. Along with Amazon and Napster, hopefully this will help raise desperately needed funds to help look after the donkeys. Thank you all so much for your continued support.

Dogs Allowed On A Lead
Many of you have been asking via letter and email whether dogs are allowed at the Sanctuary, well, dogs are allowed, as long as they are kept on a lead and well behaved.

Farm Appeal
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all of you for all your generous donations. The Farm Appeal is still going strong; we'll keep you updated on any news relating to the Farm Appeal in the Donations section of the website.

We would like to say a big thank you to four girls who attend Forelands Middle School who raised £36.14 for the donkeys at the school Christmas Fair! We received a wonderful letter from the girls in January who as part of a school project chose the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary as their fundraiser charity for the Fair.

The girls organised a "Pin The Tail On The Donkey" game and wrote in their letter that they were proud to raise money to give the donkeys a "happier life" and that they hoped that "the money makes a difference."

We at the Sanctuary are very grateful to Robyn, Izzy, Cherish and Mia as every donation helps and goes directly to the work of the charity to care for the many donkeys in our care. Thank you!

The children of Ryde School recently held a school disco to raise funds for the Sanctuary and a magnificent sum of £120 was donated from this fun event. Well done to all those involved.
